Sports Psychologists Are Helping Athletes Shape Strong Minds

Jonathan Yates recently had the opportunity to talk with Sports Psychologist Dr. Caroline Silby as part of The Culture of Sports  “Strong, Mind, Strong Body” interview series.for CollegeAD.  Among the topics Dr. Silby covers is a technique called mindfulness training. Mindfulness training teaches athletes to manage their thoughts and allow those thoughts to be there in a non-judgmental way, allowing athletes to better filter thoughts during high-pressure situations.
